Freshman guard Olivier Hanlan scored 21 of his 24 points in the second half to lead Boston College to a 68-61 victory at Clemson on Tuesday night.

Sophomore forward Ryan Anderson had 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles (14-16, 6-11 ACC), who rallied in the second half and then held off a late Clemson surge. Freshman guard Joe Rahon added 10 points and seven boards.

Senior forwards Devin Booker (19 points, eight rebounds) and Milton Jennings (18 points, seven boards) led the way for Clemson (13-16, 5-12) on Senior Night at Littlejohn Coliseum, where the Tigers had not lost to the Eagles in five previous meetings all-time.

BC trailed by five with 11:47 left, 43-38, but Hanlan fueled a 17-3 run with nine points (including BC’s first seven). When Anderson hit a layup with 5:13 remaining, the BC lead was 11 at 55-46. Clemson closed to within three points with 1:35 left on two free throws by Booker, but Hanlan hit a clutch 19-foot step-back jumper with 56 seconds left and then made 5-of-6 free throws in the final 31 seconds to ice it

BC, which entered the night in a four-way tie for eighth place in the conference, closes out the regular season with a game vs. Georgia Tech on Saturday at Conte Forum.
