A game at USC on Sept. 14 highlights the Boston College football schedule, which was announced Monday. Steve Addazio‘s first game as coach of the Eagles comes when they host Villanova on Aug. 31. BC then opens the ACC season by hosting Wake Forest on a Friday night ESPN (or ESPN2) game (Sept. 6) before heading to Los Angeles to meet the Trojans.

Following a bye week, BC hosts defending ACC champion Florida State (Sept. 28) and Army (Oct. 5). Other home games are against Virginia Tech (Nov. 2) and NC State (Nov. 16). Other road games are against Clemson (Oct. 12), North Carolina (Oct. 26), New Mexico State (Nov. 9), Maryland (Nov. 23) and new ACC member Syracuse (Nov. 30).

Six 2013 opponents played in bowl games last season, and two finished ranked in the AP Top 25 (No. 10 Florida State, No. 11 Clemson).
