Olivier Hanlan scored 26 points and sparked a 12-0 run late in the game that lifted Boston College to a 69-58 victory over Maryland on Tuesday night at Conte Forum.

Eddie Odio continued his improvement for the Eagles (12-14, 4-9 ACC), contributing eight points, 11 rebounds and six blocks, including a pin of 7-foot-1 center Alex Len‘s layup attempt with just under two minutes left. Lonnie Jackson added 13 points.

Logan Aronhalt hit seven 3-pointers and scored 26 points for Maryland 18-8, 6-7), which was coming off an 83-81 victory over then-No. 2 Duke on Saturday. Wrentham’s Jake Layman, a freshman forward for the Terps, had five points and five rebounds. Len, who came in averaging 12.7 points, netted just four, tying his season low.

BC trailed 50-49 with just over five minutes left before running off 12 straight points to take control. Hanlan had a pair of baskets in the run, including a turnaround jumper from 17 feet with 2:12 left that made it 59-50. When Joe Rahon hit  two free throws with 1:48 remaining seconds after Odio’s highlight-reel block of Len, it was 61-50 and BC had some breathing room.

BC next plays at sixth-ranked Duke on Sunday afternoon, looking to avenge a one-point loss to the Blue Devils on Feb. 10.
