Boston College freshman guard Joe Rahon was named ACC Rookie of the Week on Monday, the second time this season he’s been so honored.

Rahon scored a season-high 26 points in Saturday’s victory over Clemson, the most points scored by a freshman in the conference this season. He hit 9-of-12 shots, including 6-of-7 3-pointers.

The Eagles (10-11, 2-6) play at eighth-ranked Miami (17-3, 8-0) on Tuesday night. Miami sophomore Shane Larkin (son of former Major League Baseball standout Barry Larkin) was named ACC Player of the Week on Monday.

In the Ivy League, Harvard sophomore Wesley Saunders was named co-Player of the Week after leading the Crimson to two victories over the weekend. Saunders, who shares the award with Princeton’s Ian Hummer, had 15 points and a career-high 11 assists in Friday’s 67-64 victory over Yale. One night later, he had 18 points while playing a career-high 48 minutes in an 89-82 double-overtime victory over Brown.

Saunders, who leads the league with 16.3 points per game, has been named Player of the Week four times this season.

Harvard (12-6, 4-0) plays at Cornell and Columbia this weekend.
