Boston College associate athletic director Barry Gallup, a former BC football player and assistant coach and Northeastern head coach, lost his 26-year-old daughter to cancer on Wednesday, the school announced.
Lisa Ann Gallup, a former three-sport captain at Wellesley High School who went on to graduate from Boston College’s Connell School of Nursing in 2009, had been working as a night nurse in the medical intensive care unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Her memorial service is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Wellesley Village Church.
Barry Gallup also lost a son, Darren Douglas Gallup, in 2003 when the 18-year-old who was bound to play football at Harvard died after crashing his car into a stone wall in Wellesley. Gallup has one other child, Barry Gallup Jr.
