Boston College senior Nick Clancy earned ACC Linebacker of the Week honors after recording a career-high 24 tackles (14 solo) in Saturday’s 22-13 loss to Northwestern.

Clancy, a 6-foot-3, 232-pounder from Plainfield, Ill., recorded the second-highest single-game tackle total in school history. Frank Chamberlain (1999, vs. Syracuse), Stephen Boyd (1994, vs. Virginia Tech) and Tom McManus (1991, vs. Rutgers) share the record of 25.

Clancy, whose previous single-game high was seven, leads the ACC in tackles (43) and tackles per game (14.3) through three games this season.
